Light and darkness, fire and ice, yin and yang – the polar opposites. Of life, nature, the universe, everything. Or so we are told.
When it comes to blogging, there definitely seems to be a trend where people either post stuff which is more on the happy-light-inspirational side or the darker-gloomier-perverse aspect of things. Sometimes it’s a mix of both worlds, but those are rather uncommon.
A few months ago, I decided to start a new blog using my real-life identity which was somewhat groundbreaking and a bit nerve-wracking as well.
At first, it was kinda liberating. Like I’m facing the world head-on, ready to show everyone how fucking amazing I am..!!
As time went on, something felt a bit off.
Like I wasn’t being authentic or how I was only showing one facet of myself.
Inadvertently, it’s almost as if I split my personality/identity between these 2 blogs, where my real-life blog would represent the yang (light) version of myself, and this blog-Psy would show the yin (dark) aspects of myself.
And that’s probably why I decided to come back here and continue blogging.
Because in life, you can’t have the good without the bad.
If you want to see the light, you need to embrace the darkness.
You’ve probably heard these platitudes ad nauseam; still, it’s good to hear them again from time to time.
So, for the time being, I’ll probably continue posting on these blogs simultaneously, with this sort of duality/split-sides of blogging… ’cause that’s how I like to roll..!! Straight and simple.
Until next time.
